School Building Schnegg Näfels

The municipality of Glarus Nord has experienced strong population growth in recent years. In particular, the increasing numbers of pupils in the Näfels and Mollis area have prompted the municipality to take a closer look at the need for action in the area of school space planning. The central and undisputed measure was the provision of additional school space in a new building in Näfels.

The task was to develop a project proposal that would provide the required space for 14 primary school classes and two kindergarten classes, a day structure and a double gymnasium, as well as optimally implementing the local planning, operational and economic requirements of the competition task.
