The Birmensdorf-Aesch secondary school needs a triple sports hall in connection with the population growth in Birmensdorf and Aesch. It is only able to expand on its own site to a limited extent, which is why it would like to retain the valuable outdoor space (playground, all-weather pitch) as it exists today. The triple sports hall should primarily serve the secondary school as well as the primary school as a school gymnasium. However, the hall should also serve local/regional clubs in the evenings, at weekends and possibly during the day. This complements the existing outdoor facilities.
